Joyful Days

Today at WellGood Social was just absolutely amazing for so many different reasons. Watching the long time ago retired and wise youth worker coach the younger women. Seeing the Councillors join in and explore how we could get the Brighter Boroughs funds more connected to the participatory budgeting.  Chatting about international women’s day plans.

Watching people share stories of trauma in quiet corners, feeling safe enough in the space to be able to use the space and each other to begin long overdue healing journeys. Babies crawling around being cared for by the whole.  Plans being made for an afternoon tea dance.  Eyes lighting up.  Listening to local people recount the conversations they’ve been having whilst out and about in the community.  This is exactly what I would hope would start to grow and it’s a blessing to be alongside.
