Annual Report 23-24

We’ve spent the last few weeks pulling together the annual report ready to accompany the accounts in the New Year. Here is the report. And if you fancy some dulcet Wigan tones, you can take a listen too, find the playlist towards the bottom of the post.

I’m often struck by contradictory thoughts of extraordinary and ordinary whenever we document the local journey. Perhaps we are extraordinarily ordinary and maybe that’s more than enough. If we were all a bit more ordinary, then maybe we’d create space for that which we hope to emerge more fully, realising that we need each other – all of me, all of you, all of us…even our warts.

Thanks to all doing this work, all over the world. From those who know it in their bones to those steeped in organising traditions and surrounded by wisdom holders. Your generosity, courage and fearlessness have influenced us in ways we are not yet conscious of.

I have a hope for 2025. May our connections and understanding deepen so our strategy and action may bear fruit nurtured in the land we’re learning to cherish again. It’s clear to see we are shifting. Beyond the pedagogies, the investors, the binaries.

May the activists and reformers, the peace builders, and alternative future growers see each other more clearly. May we understand each other’s perspectives more deeply.
