Finding Compassion in Pain

I haven’t been here for a few days, mainly because something is burbulating and I’ve not found the words for it yet. And, life’s been really busy. Gloriously busy. And yet so difficult and frustrating. Building the new whilst in the middle of a demolition site, surrounded by pain. Heart opening joyful moments followed by disappointment, sadness, grief and trauma. Perhaps that’s how it will always be.

This liberation isn’t nirvana, it’s taking the mask off and feeling. Getting closer to my own complicity. Expecting humanness and remembering in the wise words of Rumi that we are all just walking each other home. The deeper into the work, the more I’m noticing resentments fall away. How can I resent what is visibly dying in front of my eyes?
