Triangle to Circle

Yesterday Springfield, Beech Hill and Gidlow CommUnity, had a magnificent afternoon together in the sun and also welcomed seven new people to the organising circle. You can read more about that here.

And now it’s time for the next layer of the work to start. Shifting the triangle to a circle. Over my many years of being involved in communities I’ve very rarely seen new things grow that don’t end up becoming a mirror of the very power structures they often initially came together to challenge or dismantle.

This work is not easy, and I imagine there’ll be many bumps in the road as we seek to deepen democracy and shift from leader to convenor.
